At Ellenbrook Secondary College, Mathematics is more than numbers – it’s about thinking critically, solving problems, and making sense of the world. Our students explore key areas including Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry, and Statistics and Probability.
Mathematics lessons build essential numeracy skills that support learning across all subjects and help students make informed decisions in everyday life. Students learn to read, write, and communicate mathematical ideas clearly, apply strategies to real-world problems, and use digital tools to enhance their understanding.
Our aim is to develop confident and creative thinkers who can:
• Recognise when maths is useful
• Choose appropriate methods to solve problems
• Interpret and evaluate results
• Connect maths to other disciplines and daily life
We encourage curiosity and a love of learning through engaging lessons that challenge students to think deeply and participate actively. Mathematics at Ellenbrook SC empowers students to use logic and creativity to navigate their world.
