𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝟮 - 𝗔𝗙𝗟 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟱/𝟲 Ellenbrook SC will be hosting an AFL Football Clinic on Monday, 22 June at 3:15pm on the College Oval. Any interested student is welcome to attend.
This free clinic offered each term provides an excellent pathway for primary school students to experience structured AFL training and gain an insight into the AFL Specialist Program at Ellenbrook SC. Under the guidance of our AFL Coordinator Mr Thomson, students in the clinics engage in drills and skill-based activities designed to build confidence, teamwork and fundamental AFL techniques in a supportive environment.
Students do not need to be in the Ellenbrook SC catchment primary school to participate in the clinics.
𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳 𝗘𝗻𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 This week, our College visited local primary schools to speak with students about their transition to Year 7 in 2027. It has been wonderful meeting so many enthusiastic students across our catchment area.
During each visit, our staff highlighted what makes Ellenbrook SC a school for everyone – from our wide range of subject options to the exciting opportunities available both inside and outside the classroom. Students also learnt about the strong support networks in place to help them feel confident and ready for the transition to secondary school.
These sessions provided valuable insight into the enrolment process and helped students understand the next steps as they prepare for high school. A highlight of the visits was seeing students get involved in interactive quizzes, with some lucky participants taking home Ellenbrook SC merchandise.
A big thank you to the primary schools for welcoming us, and to the students for their outstanding behaviour. We look forward to seeing many familiar faces in 2027.

𝗞𝗢𝗗𝗔 𝗥𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 Last week, the top Homerooms across all year levels to date were rewarded with hot chocolate for achieving the highest number of KODA points. It was the perfect weather to enjoy a delicious hot chocolate topped with marshmallows.
Congratulations to the following Homerooms and their teachers:
Year 7 Avon 1 - K Cunningham Year 8 Avon 1 - A Smith Year 9/10:MS Swan 1 - T Roberts Year 11/12 SS Stirling 4 - A Morris-Black
We are proud to celebrate their efforts! We also extend our thanks to the Homeroom teachers, whose ongoing emphasis on KODA values plays a vital role in fostering positive behaviour and supporting students to achieve these outcomes.
At Ellenbrook SC, we believe that positive behaviour is the foundation of a safe, respectful and engaging learning environment. A big thank you to the PBS Committee for continually exploring new and meaningful ways to recognise and reward students who demonstrate our values.
𝗪𝗔𝗣𝗢𝗟 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 In partnership with Western Australia Police Force, Jack Beasley Foundation and Education WA , our Year 8 and Year 9 students participated in the 'One Moment' presentation, an important initiative focused on raising awareness about the dangers of carrying knives.
The program highlighted the serious risks and consequences associated with knife possession, encouraging students to make safe and responsible choices. The key message “I live my life without a knife” reinforced the importance of reducing harm, avoiding confrontation and staying safe.
Following the tragic loss of their teenage son to knife violence, Brett and Belinda Beasley have dedicated themselves to educating young people across Australia about the real-life consequences of carrying knives. Their presentations are based on lived experience and focus on personal decision-making, empathy and the long-term impact a single moment of violence can have on families, friends and communities.
We thank WAPOL and Jack's parents for supporting our students with this valuable learning opportunity and also Ellenbrook Police Station for their ongoing collaboration with our College.
𝗣&𝗖 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝗮 Ellenbrook SC marked #PANDCDAYWA today with a special morning tea, bringing together our Ellenbrook Secondary College P&C committee, executive team and student leaders to celebrate the incredible contribution of our parents and carers.
Over the years, the ESC P&C has made a significant and lasting impact on our students and wider college community. In 2025 alone, they helped raise $40,000 to support the Canberra Tour, supported grant applications for shade sails across the college, sponsored pizzas for college expos and exhibitions, and continued their much-loved annual support of airbrush tattoos at our Athletics Carnival.
The P&C also sponsors the KODA Award (value of $150) as part of the Year 12 Presentation Awards - a PBS initiative introduced for the first time last year to recognise students with the highest KODA points in the cohort. These are just a few examples of the many ways our P&C shows up for ESC.
Today, we proudly recognise their dedication, generosity and unwavering support. Thank you for all that you do, ESC P&C 💙
