𝗕𝗼𝘆𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 On Friday 23 October, Ellenbrook SC competed in the Netball WA Specialist Schools Carnival at Golds Netball Centre. This tournament is by invitation only for specialist netball schools. Although ESC is not a specialist boys' netball school, Netball WA invited ESC to participate due to our increased presence and competition in the recent School Sport Western Australia Inc. netball carnivals.
The boys competed fiercely and respectfully, donning the new netball singlets designed specifically for the boys' netball competitions. Our two teams competed against some strong opposition and dominant schools and managed to earn a mix of wins, draws, and losses.
A special shout-out goes to Miss Excel and Mr Ridley for coordinating the day, and Daisy F, Lashiya C, Emmerson F, Keeli B, and Taylor B who came along to help coach, mentor, and umpire the boys in their inaugural appearance at the Netball WA Specialist Schools Carnival.

𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 Today we recognised our female First Nations students for their outstanding achievements in attendance, academic excellence, sporting success, community engagement, leadership, and personal growth at the annual Stars Foundation Awards Ceremony. Awards such as Rising Star and Future Ready Superstar highlighted the dedication, resilience, and success of students throughout the year.
Five Year 12 students successfully completed their high school journey. Two students Shontay and Sarah, were recognised at the Year 12 Presentation Night on 26 October, where they received the Stars Most Outstanding Attributes 2026 Award and the following awards:
🔹Shontay: General Materials Design & Technology - Wood and General Aboriginal and Intercultural Studies subject awards. 🔹Sarah: The City of Swan Sports Award and General Physical Education Studies subject award.

Congratulations to our ESC Warriors for their relentless effort and for successfully retaining our place in B Division for 2027!
Each athlete gave their all, competing with determination, resilience and school spirit against other B Division schools. Mr Ridley praised the students for their outstanding organisation and commitment throughout the carnival. Students arrived at all events on time, knew exactly where they needed to be, and represented Ellenbrook Secondary College in every event entered. Not a single event was missed, which was a significant achievement and a testament to the team's preparation and dedication.
A big thank you to the Ellenbrook Secondary College P&C for generously sponsoring the pizza lunch. P&C President Ms Rhodes also presented certificates to our Champion Boys, Theophilus R and Jayden C, in recognition of their outstanding achievements.

🔹First Place: 'Homie' - addressing Perth's housing crisis by Himanish P and Lenno T 🔹Second Place: 'Field 2 Fork' - a mobile application designed to connect local farmers directly with consumers created by Aceline V and Simar S, who also received Encouragement Awards.
Their innovative business ideas, detailed planning, and entrepreneurial thinking have earned them top honours, with Himanish and Lenno now progressing to the national competition.
The Plan Your Own Enterprise Competition provides students with valuable experience in market analysis, business planning, marketing and entrepreneurial decision-making. It also develops transferable skills in research, problem-solving, critical thinking, communication and collaboration.
A fantastic achievement that reflects the creativity, problem-solving skills, and real-world learning taking place in our Business Management and Enterprise program.

𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟭𝟮 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 On Monday 26 October, we celebrated a major milestone for the Class of 2026 at their Presentation Ceremony held at Kingdom City Wangara. It was a moment that reflected years of effort, growth, and resilience - and we couldn’t be prouder of our Year 12s.
This cohort has achieved remarkable accomplishments throughout their time at Ellenbrook Secondary College and continue to inspire with their dedication and drive - true role models for our younger students. A huge congratulations to all the award recipients, and a special shout-out to our DUX awards winners.
We also extend our thanks to our guest speaker, Ryan Langley, an Alumnus from the Class of 2013, who shared his experiences as a student at Ellenbrook SC and reflected on the valuable life lessons that continue to guide him today.
Events like this are only successful because of great teamwork. Thank you to all the staff and students who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event a success. 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗩𝗘𝗧𝗶𝗦 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 On Friday 23 October, Ellenbrook SC proudly hosted the WorldSkills Australia - Western Australia VETiS Carpentry Competition participants from Alkimos College, Aveley SC, Duncraig SHS and Ocean Reef SHS.
These students together with Ellenbrook SC participants were challenged to demonstrate their carpentry knowledge and technical skills through the construction of a set project. Participants were required to accurately measure, mark, cut and assemble materials while maintaining a safe and professional work environment. The competition also tested students’ attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, time management, and commitment to quality workmanship. Their projects were assessed by a panel of industry judges, ensuring a high standard of real-world evaluation.
The event provided valuable hands-on experience and industry exposure for students considering future pathways in the building and construction industry. It was fantastic to see the professionalism, determination, and skill displayed by all competitors.

𝗛𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 What a fantastic week celebrating Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS)! Our students enjoyed a range of fun, hands-on activities that brought history, geography, civics and economics to life.
Students put their geographical skills to the test using grid referencing to find and identify flags around the school, explored significant people, places, events and artefacts through our HASS I-Spy wall, and took part in poppy making, quizzes and HASS games and challenges. The Australian Coat of Arms BBQ was a highlight, with students sampling native meats including crocodile, kangaroo and emu.
HASS teachers also dressed as HASS-inspired careers, creating a fun and memorable celebration of learning across Humanities and Social Sciences.
A big thank you to all the wonderful teachers who helped plan, prepare and run the activities throughout the week. Your time, creativity and enthusiasm helped make HASS Week such an engaging and memorable experience for the students.
𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟵 𝗚𝗔𝗧 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 Our Year 9 GAT students have been busy working on their Passion Projects, exploring topics that genuinely interest and inspire them.
These projects give students the opportunity to take charge of their learning, build new skills, and create something meaningful. From technology and engineering to creative design and social issues, students have embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and determination.
This year, students have explored a diverse range of projects, including an Arduino Smart House, mechatronics, creche projects, clay trinkets, fabric design, video game design, digital drawing and animation, and audio sound effects.
We’ve been especially impressed by their independence, resilience, and creativity throughout the process, and we look forward to celebrating their final projects and achievements.
𝗕 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗔𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 A massive congratulations to all our students who competed in Interschool Athletics Carnival on Tuesday 20 October. Every single student should be incredibly proud of their efforts, showing outstanding determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the entire day.
After earning promotion to B Division following last year’s competition, our Warriors stepped up to the challenge and battled hard against some tough opposition. Finishing 6th overall, the team successfully secured our place in B Division once again for 2027!

𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟭𝟭 𝗚𝘆𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 During the final four weeks of Term 3, Mrs. Richardson and Mr. Cross' Year 11 Sport Coaching students participated in conditioning sessions at Arachnid Gym.
As part of their qualification, students were fortunate to be trained and mentored by owner and director, Ash Hunt. The sessions included strength and conditioning, plyometrics and HIIT training. All students participated to the best of their ability, setting fitness goal and gaining invaluable knowledge and insight into the fitness industry.

𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 We celebrated the incredible journey of the Class of 2026 today, as they marked their final gathering as a cohort, coming together one last time for breakfast and a special farewell assembly - ending their high school chapter at Ellenbrook Secondary College.
It was an emotional occasion filled with reflection, laughter, memories and gratitude as we celebrated their journey and the lasting impact they have made on our College community. Highlights of the assembly included lively performances by our music students, video footage of staff bidding farewell, and a touching slideshow featuring collection of photos of the students time at Ellenbrook SC.
At the end of the assembly, our Year 12 students marched out of the gym with teachers forming a guard of honour, officially bidding farewell to the Class of 2026.
A big thank you to Mr Watkins and staff for making this final formal event for our Year 12s one to remember. Thank you also to all the families who made time to join us in today's celebration.

Congratulations to our talented Year 11 Business Management and Enterprise students in Ms Badat's class on their outstanding success in the Plan Your Own Enterprise (PYOE) Competition!
🔹First Place: 'Homie' - addressing Perth's housing crisis by Himanish P and Lenno T
🔹Second Place: 'Field 2 Fork' - a mobile application designed to connect local farmers directly with consumers created by Aceline V and Simar S, who also received Encouragement Awards.
Their innovative business ideas, detailed planning, and entrepreneurial thinking have earned them top honours, with Himanish and Lenno now progressing to the national competition.
The Plan Your Own Enterprise Competition provides students with valuable experience in market analysis, business planning, marketing and entrepreneurial decision-making. It also develops transferable skills in research, problem-solving, critical thinking, communication and collaboration.
A fantastic achievement that reflects the creativity, problem-solving skills, and real-world learning taking place in our Business Management and Enterprise program.

On Monday 26 October, we celebrated a major milestone for the Class of 2026 at their Presentation Ceremony held at Kingdom City Wangara. It was a moment that reflected years of effort, growth, and resilience - and we couldn’t be prouder of our Year 12s.
This cohort has achieved remarkable accomplishments throughout their time at Ellenbrook Secondary College and continue to inspire with their dedication and drive - true role models for our younger students. A huge congratulations to all the award recipients, and a special shout-out to our DUX awards winners.
A heartfelt thank you to all the parents and families including online viewers who joined us and supported these students throughout their journey. On Friday 23 October, Ellenbrook SC proudly hosted the WorldSkills Australia - Western Australia VETiS Carpentry Competition participants from Alkimos College, Aveley SC, Duncraig SHS and Ocean Reef SHS.
These students together with Ellenbrook SC participants were challenged to demonstrate their carpentry knowledge and technical skills through the construction of a set project. Participants were required to accurately measure, mark, cut and assemble materials while maintaining a safe and professional work environment. The competition also tested students’ attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, time management, and commitment to quality workmanship. Their projects were assessed by a panel of industry judges, ensuring a high standard of real-world evaluation.
The event provided valuable hands-on experience and industry exposure for students considering future pathways in the building and construction industry. It was fantastic to see the professionalism, determination, and skill displayed by all competitors.

𝗛𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲
What a fantastic week celebrating Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS)!
Our students enjoyed a range of fun, hands-on activities that brought history, geography, civics and economics to life.
Students put their geographical skills to the test using grid referencing to find and identify flags around the school, explored significant people, places, events and artefacts through our HASS I-Spy wall, and took part in poppy making, quizzes and HASS games and challenges. The Australian Coat of Arms BBQ was a highlight, with students sampling native meats including crocodile, kangaroo and emu.
HASS teachers also dressed as HASS-inspired careers, creating a fun and memorable celebration of learning across Humanities and Social Sciences.
A big thank you to all the wonderful teachers who helped plan, prepare and run the activities throughout the week. Your time, creativity and enthusiasm helped make HASS Week such an engaging and memorable experience for the students.

Our Year 9 GAT students have been busy working on their Passion Projects, exploring topics that genuinely interest and inspire them.
These projects give students the opportunity to take charge of their learning, build new skills, and create something meaningful. From technology and engineering to creative design and social issues, students have embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and determination.
This year, students have explored a diverse range of projects, including an Arduino Smart House, mechatronics, creche projects, clay trinkets, fabric design, video game design, digital drawing and animation, and audio sound effects.
We’ve been especially impressed by their independence, resilience, and creativity throughout the process, and we look forward to celebrating their final projects and achievements.

A massive congratulations to all our students who competed in Interschool Athletics Carnival on Tuesday 20 October. Every single student should be incredibly proud of their efforts, showing outstanding determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the entire day.
After earning promotion to B Division following last year’s competition, our Warriors stepped up to the challenge and battled hard against some tough opposition. Finishing 6th overall, the team successfully secured our place in B Division once again for 2027!
A special congratulations to our individual champions for their incredible achievement.

During the final four weeks of Term 3, Mrs. Richardson and Mr. Cross' Year 11 Sport Coaching students participated in conditioning sessions at Arachnid Gym.
As part of their qualification, students were fortunate to be trained and mentored by owner and director, Ash Hunt. The sessions included strength and conditioning, plyometrics and HIIT training. All students participated to the best of their ability, setting fitness goal and gaining invaluable knowledge and insight into the fitness industry.
A big thanks to Ash and the Arachnid team for their continued partnership with the College!

𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲
We celebrated the incredible journey of the Class of 2026 today, as they marked their final gathering as a cohort, coming together one last time for breakfast and a special farewell assembly - ending their high school chapter at Ellenbrook Secondary College.
It was an emotional occasion filled with reflection, laughter, memories and gratitude as we celebrated their journey and the lasting impact they have made on our College community. Highlights of the assembly included lively performances by our music students, video footage of staff bidding farewell, and a touching slideshow featuring collection of photos of the students time at Ellenbrook SC.
At the end of the assembly, our Year 12 students marched out of the gym with teachers forming a guard of honour, officially bidding farewell to the Class of 2026.
A big thank you to Mr Watkins and staff for making this final formal event for our Year 12s one to remember. Thank you also to all the families who made time to join us in today's celebration.
