Ellenbrook Secondary College was established in 2007 in the rapidly growing suburb of Ellenbrook and is located in the heart of the town centre. The College holds special significance for staff, students, and parents, many of whom were actively involved in its development during the foundation year in 2006. These partnerships continue to thrive today, as the College remains committed to building strong working relationships with parents and the wider Ellenbrook community.
This collaborative approach has helped embed the College within the community, creating broader opportunities for students and fostering meaningful engagement between parents and staff. These partnerships have played a vital role in shaping the positive and inclusive culture we proudly uphold today.
As a ‘school for everyone’, Ellenbrook Secondary College is dedicated to continued growth and development to support the success of all students.
In 2015, the College achieved Independent Public School (IPS) status. This designation grants increased autonomy and flexibility in school operations, while still being part of Western Australia’s public education system. IPS status enables the College to make localised decisions that are better aligned with the specific needs of our students.
College Logo
The college logo was developed by an image management company using artwork from students in the feeder primary schools. The community were able to vote on a selection of logo designs. The selected logo reflected many student contributions that included branches and vines.
The metaphor behind the logo is growth, and the environment. It not only reflects youth growth, but the branch stem can also be interpreted as a waterway running through the Upper Swan vineyards and undulating hills. The graphic depicts the community living alongside the waterways and working together. In particular, the leaves can be seen as representing the communities within the College, the Ellenbrook community and the Swan Valley settlements.
