Ellenbrook Secondary College is a place for all students to achieve personal success through engagement with their learning in a safe and inclusive environment. We strive for high-quality teaching and differentiated opportunities that empower students to become productive members of the community.
There are multiple programs, clubs and leadership opportunities that are offered to students throughout their time at the College. We are proud to host a Gifted and Talented Secondary Selective Academy program, a Department of Education approved Specialist Music Program for instrumental music and voice, STEM program and many Vocational Education and Training (VET) pathways.
Specialist Programs
The College has a proud history of providing support for children with additional needs, we have an established learning support program run by knowledgeable staff who dedicate themselves to deliver learning that revolves around key life skills. Clontarf Academy and Deadly Sista Girlz (DSG) are two mentoring programs offered to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island students at the College.

Orientation Day
Orientation Information
The Orientation Day provides an opportunity for your child to learn how the College operates and to become familiar with the campus and its facilities. Students will follow a sample timetable, allowing them to experience a range of curriculum activities, meet staff, and make new friends.
- Your child is invited to the College Year 7 (2026) Orientation Day on Friday, 28 November 2025 from 8:50 am to 2:40 pm.
- Students will assemble in the College Gymnasium – entrance is via Library Avenue.
- All students are required to wear their current school uniform and it is recommended that they bring a hat, water bottle, pencil case, and school bag.
- Parents/Carers are welcome to remain for the commencement of the day if they wish.
- At the end of the day, students will be released from the Year 7 Courtyard. Parents need to organise transport arrangements to and from the College prior to the day.
Note: If your child has any special requirements, particularly health issues, please contact the College in advance to ensure that these needs are addressed on the day.
Canteen Order
- Parents have the option to pre-order their child’s lunch online or send a pre-packed lunch from home.
- Two convenient options are available to choose from:
- Hot Dog Meal ($7.50): 1 x hotdog, 1 x boxed juice, 1 x chocolate chip cookie
- Pizza Meal ($7.50): 1 x cheese pizza, 1 x boxed juice, 1 x chocolate chip cookie (suitable for vegetarians and for halal options)
- Please contact the canteen via kangakafe@gmail.com to make arrangement for gluten free (GF) options.
Welcome Pack
- Welcome packs will be available on the College website at the end of November.
- The package will include the Year 7 (2026) Booklist along with essential College information.

Process of Enrolments
1. Check you reside in the Ellenbrook Secondary College catchment area
- If your usual and proven place of residence is within the local intake area, eligible children will be automatically considered for enrolment into the College.
- If your child’s place of residence is out of the local intake area, they may be accommodated if the College has capacity. The College will consider an Expression of Interest Form for out of area enrolments, after local area needs are assessed.
- College Intake Area Map, College Interactive Map, or visit Department of Education Schools Online.
- The local intake area for this school contains all or part of the local intake areas of the following schools: Aveley Primary School, Ellenbrook Primary School, Brabham Primary School, Arbor Grove Primary School and Ellen Stirling Primary School.
2. Download and Complete Expression of Interest Form
- Parents seeking to enrol their child at Ellenbrook Secondary College need to complete an Expression of Interest form.

3. Please include all supporting documentation so your application can be processed
Supporting Documentation
- Proof of residential address – A person can only have one usual place of residence
- A Current council rates notice.
- Utility Bill- relating to the street address (Electricity, Gas, Telephone or Water) Paid within the last 3 months.
- Contract of purchase, current lease or rental document for relevant premises (Receipt is not accepted)
- Birth certificate of student
- Immunisation record (Must be Australian Immunisation Record (AIR) statement ONLY)
- Copy of the student’s recent school report
- Family Court law orders (if applicable)
- If your child is not born in Australia, you must provide:
- Passport and/or travel documents with evidence of the date of entry into Australia
- Visa details
4. Submit your Expression of Interest Form
- Complete the Expression of Interest Form and submit to ellenbrook.sc@education.wa.edu.au
- Once submitted, you will be contacted by administration staff to discuss your application.
- The College will notify you of the progression of your application and guide you towards next steps.
