Supporting our community

Creating a sense of community within our College as well as within our wider community is very important to us. As human beings, we need a sense of belonging. That sense of belonging is what connects us to the many relationships we develop. Communities are also rich in resources, that is where their collective aspect comes into play.

This is what led our Student Services Manager, Kim Fragall, to start a Reverse Advent Calendar initiative. Kim encouraged staff here at Ellenbrook Secondary College to donate an item of food for every day in November with the aim of filling 12 hampers to go towards helping families in our community.

Kim, our chaplain Luan, and our student services team got to work yesterday and managed to fill 22 hampers! Kim then linked up with Ellenbrook Community Collective to help distribute the hampers.

Thank you to Kim and everyone involved who helped make this initiative a success.
