Congratulations to Prachi Dave (Year 10) for winning first place in the intermediate category of this year’sย City of Swanย Youth Out Loud Public Speaking Competition.
The competition provides a platform for young people to speak out about issues that not only affect them, but their community too.
Prachi chose to speak on a topic she is passionate about, which is gender inequality and the need to encourage more females into the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
She was presented with the Charlie Gregorini Memorial Shield by Sandra Gregorini and Mayor David Lucas.
Well done Prachi for being a positive role model in STEM for young females in our area!
