Year 7 Student Shines at Science Talent Search Awards

Ellenbrook Secondary College is proud to celebrate the incredible achievement of our Year 7 Gifted and Talented student, Nancy V, for winning an impressive 3rd place in the prestigious Science Talent Search competition organised by the Science Teachers’ Association of WA (STAWA).

Nancy’s outstanding achievement was in the “Science Communication” video category, where she wowed the judges with a brilliant science animation video on ‘The water cycle in 60 seconds’. Her creativity and passion for science truly shined through in this project!

The Science Talent Search, aligned with the Western Australian curriculum offers a fantastic opportunity for K-12 students to enhance their scientific literacy by fostering curiosity and a deeper understanding of the world around them. The competition recognises the excellent work of students in the three entry categories: Science Investigation, Engineering, Science Communication.
