Meet our Administrative Team

Principal – Dr Peter Havel

Associate Principal – Paul Clarke

Paul has worked at our College since 2012 and brings significant experience from a broad professional background in education.

The Department Of Education has employed Paul for over 35 years as a Teacher, School Administrator, Curriculum Consultant and Education Department manager. He has worked in schools, regional offices and central office.

Paul oversees many programs and facets of College operations including ICT teaching/learning and systems, human resources and student academic achievement.

Associate Principal – Heath Dullard

Heath Dullard has a Masters of School Leadership (UWA), Bachelor of Physical Science (ECU) and Bachelor of Arts; Education (ECU). He has a background as a Science teacher specialising in Physics, and he has previously held the roles of Head of Science and Student Services Manager at ESC.

Heath’s role in the College focuses on Teaching and Learning. He is in charge of Staff Development and runs the Instructional Intelligence whole school pedagogy, as well as the Classroom Management Strategies program, which are linked to classroom observation and coaching. He also oversees specialist programs such as Learning Support, Gifted and Talented and STEM.

 

Associate Principal – Rowena Howe

Rowena is a Foundation staff member and has been Acting Associate Principal since November 2018. Before this, she was Head of Humanities and Social Sciences, specialising in Economics. Rowena has undertaken various leadership roles within the College, including Year Coordinator, CMS and Instructional Intelligence coach and Curriculum Leader. Her roles include Student Services (student wellbeing and engagement), support of Senior School curriculum and reporting, Aboriginal education and engagement, and staff wellbeing and career development.Rowena started her teaching career in 2000 at Manjimup Senior High School, where she spent six years teaching Economics, Accounting and Society & Environment (now HASS). While there, she undertook leadership roles, including Year Coordinator, Speech & Debating Coach and Acting Head of Department. Rowena left Manjimup to take a position as Curriculum Writer at WestOne Services, creating distance education resources for the Economics Course of Study. Before she was a teacher, she was an Accountant and Internal Auditor at Coopers & Lybrand, working for various government and non-government clients.Rowena is a life-long learner, completing her Master of Educational Leadership in 2017.

Manager Corporate Services – Diarmuid McDonagh

Diarmuid has over 15 year’s experience as a Business Manager in public, not-for-profit and private sectors leading and developing multi-disciplinary teams. His experience is further bolstered with a Bachelor of Business and Graduate Certificate of Educational Business Leadership. Diarmuid is responsible for the Corporate Services functional areas of Finance and Procurement; Human Resources (Non Teaching), ICT Systems and Infrastructure; Marketing & PR; Campus Facilities and administration functions within the College.
