1. I’m a parent/guardian of a child in the catchment area. How do I apply?

To begin the enrolment process please fill out the expression of interest form and attach required documentation.

Once expression of interest form and required documentation has been received you will be contacted by the College via phone or email.

2. I’m a parent/guardian of a child who resides out of the catchment area. How do I apply?

Please fill out an expression of interest form and provide required documentation. We will be in contact if there is capacity for out of area students. For further information, please call the College on 9297 9700.

3. I’m a parent/guardian of a child moving into the catchment area in Term 1/2/3/4?

We encourage you to begin the enrolment process as soon as possible when planning a move. Please fill out the expression of interest form and provide relevant documents of proof of residence for your future address within the catchment area, along with remaining required documentation. Please contact the College on 9297 9700 if you wish to discuss anything.

4. I’m a parent/guardian with one child enrolled. Will my other children be automatically accepted if they are out of the catchment area?

Enrolments that are outside the catchment area are assessed case by case. Please fill out the expression of interest form and provide required documentation. The College will be in contact with you to discuss further. For more information, please call the College on 9297 9700.

5. I am not the legal guardian of my child. Can I still enrol them?

Please contact the office on 9297 9700 to discuss further.

6. English is not my first language. Is there someone to assist me with translation/ completing the enrolment forms?

Yes, the College can provide assistance and translation for parent/guardians requiring assistance with the enrolment process. Please contact the College on 9297 9700 or come in and speak to our administration staff.

7. I cannot find or do not have my child’s immunisation records.

Immunisation History Statements are available from the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR).

8. If my child does not have a birth certificate, what can I do?

Telephone the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages on 1300 305 021 if you do not have one or visit https://online-rbdm.justice.wa.gov.au/

Alternatively, birth certificates may be on record at your child’s primary school.  

9. My child has learning difficulties/learning disabilities. What support is there for my child? What additional help do you offer?

The College requires the most recent formal diagnosis for your child. However, if you are experiencing issues obtaining a formal diagnosis, please contact the College for assistance.

Ellenbrook Secondary College has a proud history of providing support for children with additional needs.

We have an established Learning Support program run by knowledgeable staff consisting of a dedicated coordinator, specialised teachers and caring Education Assistants (EA), who together, assist students by delivering targeted learning that often revolves around life skills and transition to employment.

Students with learning difficulties can be provided with additional support in their mainstream classes through the EA assistance, class strategies and documented plans.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to contact the College on 9297 9700 to discuss specific details of support available for your child.
