Ellenbrook Secondary College selected to host Gifted and Talented Academic Program

The College is proud to have been selected by the Department of Education WA as one of only 14 public high schools in the state to run an academic Gifted and Talented Education Program.

Announced by the Minister for Education and Training recently, the program will begin at ESC with Year 7s in 2021 – applications are open now to current Year 5 students! Please apply directly with Gifted and Talented through their website: www.education.wa.edu.au/gifted-and-talented

This is an exciting new opportunity for students living in the local and surrounding areas, with the next closest Gifted and Talented program located almost 20km away from Ellenbrook.

The Gifted and Talented program will complement the existing offerings we have for students of all academic abilities at the College, joining:

  • Award-winning Specialist Music Program
  • ATAR courses and expansive Vocational Education and Training (VET) offerings
  • Integrated Curriculum (including Direct and Explicit Instruction)
  • Strong Education Support Program for students with Special Education Needs (SEN)
  • Multiple after school clubs and sporting teams (including school-based Specialist Netball and Football)
